What to do in my hometown, Peterborough, Ontario?

There are so many neat things to do in Peterborough, it really represents the diversity of its people.

You can go for a drive from the World's Largest Hydraulic Lock- The Peterborough Liftlock, along the river all the way to Lakefield.  Our excellent Riverview Park and Zoo is totally FREE!

You can rollerblade, stroll or bike the Rotary Trail along the riverbank.
Enjoy breakfast or lunch with a view of the river at The Silver Bean Cafe (seasonal).
Of course, you would not want to miss the free concerts in the park at Little Lake during the summer .
The winter brings Thursday night outings to cheer for The Peterborough Petes Hockey Club.

Winter is not complete without tobogganing on Armour Hill or skating on the canal below the Liftlock (FREE).
We have The ReFrame Film Festival, Art exhibits, excellent restaurants, lots of green spaces, and history in Peterborough.  The free Peterborough Centennial Museum of Archives often has free children's activities.

If you dream of getting on the water, visit the Canoe Museum, which is building and expanding.
We have several Farmer's Markets- Wednesday and Saturdays!
There's so much to do on our local lakes and rivers, yours to enjoy, what are you waiting for?
